SENIOR ARCHITECTURAL DRAFTSPERSON - TASMANIA - LAUNCESTON BASED

6ty Pty Ltd is a dynamic multi-disciplined consulting firm with offices in Launceston and Devonport and clients throughout Tasmania.

Due to a number of exciting and significant projects our architectural division is growing.

We are seeking a Senior Architectural Draftsperson with minimum 5 years experience in commercial and residential projects.

This is an opportunity to further your career working amongst our talented multidisciplinary team of architects, designers, planners, engineers and land surveyors on a wide range of commercial projects in a great working environment.

To succeed in this role you will possess:

  • Must be proficient in Archicad and/or Revit 
  • Advanced construction knowledge
  • Have an understanding of the NCC & Australian Standards
  • Have the ability to work independently and as a part of a team
  • Outstanding eye for detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Relevant qualifications would be an advantage but are not necessary

STRUCTURAL BUILDING DRAFTER/GRADUATE ENGINEER (CAD) TASMANIA - LAUNCESTON BASED 

6ty Pty Ltd is a dynamic multi-disciplined consulting firm with offices in Launceston and Devonport and clients throughout Australia.

We currently have an exciting position available and are seeking our next experienced Structural Drafter/Graduate Engineer to join our team of professionals at our Launceston office on a full time basis.

We are looking for someone who has specific experience working with commercial, industrial and residential buildings and has the ability to work under pressure with good organisational and analytical skills and the ability to work within a close and focussed team autonomously.

Your main responsibilities will include, although not limited to:

  • Prepare detailed drawings, understand building requirements & review specifications
  • Liaise and work closely with our multi skilled team of engineers, architects and surveyors for project delivery
  • Use of CAD and you should have a detailed understanding of 3D working concepts as we develop our practice
  • Liaise closely with both internal and external customers in relation to drawings and job details
  • Work to strict time frames to ensure proficient completion of drawings
  • Adhering to structural engineering principles

To be considered you must have:

  • Structural drafting experience
  • Experience with commercial, industrial and residential buildings
  • Be highly proficient in Autocad and other related software

The following will be view favourably:

  • Experience with steel, post tensioned and reinforced concrete
  • Building industry experience & knowledge 
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Work as a team player  

The successful candidate will be self motivated and have a passion for structural engineering and working on a broad range of projects from residential to commercial and industrial.
